Embracing Change, Uncovering Strength
Life often feels like navigating a winding path through dense forest—a journey that can be both daunting and beautiful. Along this path, we may encounter storms, feel lost, or stumble. Yet, through every twist and turn, there’s an opportunity to discover our strength, resilience, and authentic selves.
Whether you’re feeling stuck in your relationship, overwhelmed by parenthood, or simply stressed out by today’s world, therapy can help you make sense of it all. I’m here to support you with insight, warmth, and real tools for change.
-
Life’s challenges can leave us feeling unsettled and overwhelmed. In our work together, we’ll explore the tools and perspectives that help calm the mind, ease stress, and create a sense of inner peace. Through mindfulness and self-compassion, you can find refuge within yourself, fostering a more balanced and harmonious life.
-
Feeling connected to a deeper purpose is a powerful source of fulfillment. Together, we’ll uncover what drives you and aligns with your values, helping you move toward goals that bring meaning and satisfaction. By focusing on what truly matters to you, we’ll build a path toward a purposeful, intentional life.
-
Resilience is about more than just enduring hardships—it’s about embracing growth and discovering new strengths within yourself. In therapy, we’ll explore your inner resources, develop coping skills, and build confidence, so you can navigate life’s obstacles with courage and resilience.
-
Living authentically means embracing who you truly are, without fear or self-doubt. Together, we’ll work to peel back the layers of societal expectations, past hurts, and self-imposed limitations, helping you reconnect with your genuine self. In doing so, you’ll gain the freedom to live a life that aligns with your true values and desires.
My Approach
I offer a warm, collaborative space where clients can explore patterns, heal relational wounds, and navigate life’s challenges with greater clarity and connection. My approach is rooted in attachment theory, psychodynamic insight, and a multicultural lens, drawing from advanced training in perinatal mental health and couples therapy.
I am continuously inspired by the courage I witness as clients face their challenges head-on. This transformative process happens in an environment that values resilience, acceptance, and personal empowerment. My goal is to provide a holistic space where healing feels attainable and change feels sustainable.
“I am not what happened to me, I am what I choose to become.”
Specialties
Drawing from the research-backed methods of Drs. John and Julie Gorman, the transformative insights of Terry Real’s Relational Life Therapy, and the neurobiology-based work of Dr. Stan Tatkin, I offer a grounded, integrative approach that is tailored to your unique dynamic. Together, we’ll work on improving communication, increasing emotional safety, and fostering deeper understanding.
Whatever struggles you might be having in your relationship, I offer a compassionate space to do the deep, honest work that leads to lasting change.
Major life changes can stir up old wounds, disrupt your sense of identity, and leave you feeling unmoored, stressed, or “in the dumps”. I specialize in helping clients navigate transitions, process trauma, and reconnect with themselves and family during periods of uncertainty and change.
Whether you’re healing from relational trauma, moving through a breakup, career shift, loss, or simply feeling stuck, I offer a space where your story can unfold with care.
Pregnancy and early parenthood can be as overwhelming as they are joyful, and often you might find yourself swinging between both sensations. I support individuals and couples through the emotional complexities of fertility challenges, pregnancy, postpartum adjustments, and parenting young children.
I’ve completed advanced training in maternal mental health through the Seleni Institute, equipping me with evidence-based tools to support clients through this season of life.
With attachment-based therapy and practical tools for codependency, I help couples and individuals break free from patterns like withdrawal, caretaking, and resentment. We’ll review these patterns together, work on setting healthy boundaries, and help you build a stronger sense of self so that the connection feels safe rather than draining. We’ll try out new ways of relating in our sessions. Together, we’ll focus on better communication, repairing after conflict, and finding real moments of closeness.
After experiencing narcissistic abuse, it’s common to question your reality, instincts, and sense of self. In my work, I help clients understand manipulation, gaslighting, and controlling behaviors, and work with them to rebuild trust in themselves, which may have been lost.
If you are leaving a relationship, co-parenting with a challenging ex-husband or ex-wife, or healing long after things ended, I offer a steady, nonjudgmental space where you can work through the trauma bond, build stronger boundaries, and find your voice again.
Religious trauma can leave lasting imprints of fear, shame, hypervigilance, and a sense that you’re “wrong” for having needs, questions, or boundaries. I specialize deeply in helping clients untangle the emotional and relational impact of harmful religious experiences and rebuild a sense of safety, agency, and self-trust.
I’ve worked with many clients grieving the loss of community, navigating family pressure, or carrying spiritual abuse from the past, and I offer a steady, compassionate space to process what happened and reconnect with what’s true for you.
